Nighthawks- Art History #1

Due Tuesday 11/3- This weekend, I would like you to go on the internet and look up the painting "Nighthawks" by the American Painter Edward Hopper. In a well thought out paragraph describe the painting so that a person could picture in their mind what is going on in the painting. Next write a paragraph that describes the mood of the painting- What does the painting "feel like" and why? Finally, write a short paragraph about the painting in terms of the art principle "Balance." Think about what we talked about in class today- What kind of balance does Edward Hopper use in the painting?

Blog Post #4- Story Collage Critique

Today you had your first written critique in class about your story collage. You received feedback from your classmates about how well your collage met the project parameters and what your story was about. Write a paragraph about how helpful your classmates feedback was. What positive feedback did you get? What constructive feedback did you receive? What advice was most helpful?
